Once upon a pandemic, two souls met on earth greatest achievement since the 24 hour news cycle... The Internet.

The world was shut down. Movie theatres closed, restaurants struggling, flagship stores on Manhattans 5th Avenue boarded up.

New York City was an abandoned playground, waiting for any sign of life to jumpstart it's concrete gears and yet, on the little light bricks we carry in our pockets with infinite access to information, disinformation, fake profiles, and Amazon Prime, Dan and Daniela found each other.

The start was slow. A message here, a message there. Nothing too deep. It was a Pandemic! They weren't going to meet anytime soon.

After two weeks of isolation, a two hour phone call, and an online movie date watching the classic love story Hellraiser, they decided it was time for an in person coffee.

After only two weeks and many road miles later, the families had met and Dan and Daniela realised they enjoyed each other's company more and more. A phone call would take Dan away for 7 months sailing the very seas where they first came in to digital contact and that's when the path to their engagement began.

In a little store on the shores of Weymouth in the United Kingdom, Dan purchased the perfect ring from the many photos they had shared with each other. The plan was to propose in Barcelona, Spain. A last minute plane ticket was bought for an impromptu shore leave, but COVID had other plans. An elevated number of cases on Dan's vessel took away their shore leave days before the trip and the wait continued.

After sailing across the Atlantic Ocean to the Caribbean, a plan was set. On November 30th, 2021, after a deep sea Snorkel in Honduras, Dan got down one one knee in the middle of a wading pool and asked Daniela to be his wife.

Wait.

That's not what happened.

Dan got down on one knee and before he could get a word out Daniela shouted "Yes!". After the hugs and tears, Dan THEN asked, officially, for Daniela to be his wife.

After the phone calls, texts, posts and celebrations, more travels, dates, parties, and the neverending on and off again pandemic, together we'll reach March 2025 to celebrate the union of Daniela Navarro and Daniel Domenech. Two souls, with 99% similarities on their first name's and 100% love in their hearts.
